Pupil Leadership
Pupil Leadership Team
At Fazakerley Primary School, we empower our children with meaningful opportunities to become responsible, respectful and active citizens, who contribute positively both in school, in the local community and on a more global scale.
The Pupil Leadership Team meets weekly with one of our Learning Mentors in order to plan activities to raise awareness of issues nationally as well as locally. These include organising donations to our local food banks, raising money through discos etc to fund school trips, improving our community through the likes of litter picking, safe parking and the promotion of keeping the perimeter of the school site safe from hazards such as dog excretion. They also support national events such as Children In Need by organising ‘Own Clothes Days’ and raising awareness, as well as food collections for Harvest to support local food banks.
They represent our school at community events such as library open days, church events and supporting local charities.
Throughout the course of the year, our Pupil Leadership Team raise money through Own Clothes Days to support Red Nose Day, Children In Need Day, Poppy Day, Operation Christmas Child. They visit homeless shelters with clothing collections.
Our Pupil Leadership Team are seen as role models within our school and are respected by our children, representing the voice of the children of Fazakerley Primary.
Harvest Collection.
As part of our ongoing commitment to personal development and community engagement, our Pupil Leadership team has taken the initiative to plan and organise a Harvest collection. This year, they are encouraging all pupils to bring in tins and packets of food, which will be donated to a local food bank.
This project not only supports those in need within our wider community but also helps pupils develop important life skills such as responsibility, empathy, and teamwork.
By actively participating in the collection and delivery of these items, pupils are gaining a deeper understanding of the importance of giving back and making a positive impact on the lives of others.
We are proud of our Pupil Leadership for taking charge of this meaningful initiative.
